Natalia Ogorelysheva Represents TU Dortmund at digistaat26 Berlin

This week, Natalia Ogorelysheva represented TU Dortmund at digistaat26 in Berlin - one of Germany's leading events on the digital transformation of the public sector, hosted by Behörden Spiegel [1]. The forum brings together key voices on topics such as data privacy, digital sovereignty, open source, and European tech spin-offs.
Together with Anastasia Leutloff, MBA, from TRUMPF, Natalia participated in a panel on "Women in Deep Tech", presenting an impulse talk on why female role models in deep tech need to be made more visible - and what it takes to achieve that.
As a member of the Department of Computer Science at TU Dortmund, Natalia spoke about the power of visible role models: sharing the paths people have walked, the obstacles they have overcome, and the milestones they have reached. The university, she argued, is exactly the right place to champion diversity in tech – not merely as a matter of fairness to underrepresented groups, but as a driver of better innovation. Research shaped by diverse perspectives leads to products and services that serve a broader range of people, not just homogenous groups.
To put these values into practice, the Department of Computer Science has established its own Diversity Commission [2] - a dedicated space to advocate for a diverse, inclusive and forward-thinking tech culture.
