Module | INF-BSc-259 |
Type | Undergraduate Project |
Credits | 7 Credits (Project) |
Description
The project teaches the fundamentals of embedded automotive software development using the ROS2 framework and 1:8 scale model cars (pictured). The project consists of an initial introductory phase teaching technological basics using small, weekly exercise tasks and a project phase, in which complex driving functionality is developed in groups. Finally, each group presents its results in a seminar talk.
The course is designed for students with an interest in robotics and automotive software without requiring prior knowledge of the ROS2 framework.
Prerequisites
Completion of the course "Operating Systems" (Inf-BSc-117) is a prerequisite. The contents of the course "Computer Networks and Distributed Systems" (Inf-BSc-118), as well as basic programing skills in C and C++ are required (completion of the course is not a hard requirement).
